International Applicants (First-Year and Transfer)

This application process is for students seeking an F1 visa and enrolling in a degree program, or for F1 students currently studying at a different institution in the United States.

Steps for Enrolling for International Students (F-1 Visas)

1. Apply to attend Pellissippi State

  • Please use the Apply button above to begin your application process
  • Complete each page of the application and then select Application Complete to submit your application.
  • The international admissions specialist will contact you by email to follow up.

2. You will be asked to provide further documents

  • Passport Identification Page
  • F1 visa and I-20 (Transfer students already in the United States)
  • High school transcript (translated into English)
  • Immunization records
    • Certification of Freedom from Tuberculosis
    • 2 doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) or proof of immunity
    • 2 doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox) or proof of immunity
  • English Proficiency minimum Standards
    • TOEFL iBT: 54
    • IELTS: 6.0
    • Duolingo: 100
    • OR successful completion of an accredited U.S. university’s English Composition I (Transfer students already in the United States)
  • Financial affidavit of support and proof of sufficient funds (This document will be sent to you after you apply)

Credential Evaluation

All Pellissippi State students who wish to receive credit for courses taken at an international college or university must submit the required documents to an approved credential evaluation service. This process ensures that students have access to a fair and accurate assessment of the credentials by experienced evaluators.

If you have ever attended post-secondary education outside of the United States of America, you must send those transcripts to one of the Credential Evaluation Services below. (Transcripts Must be in English)
